1. Platform Purpose

MyScienceHOD is an educator-facing Teacher Intelligence Platform. It is designed to help teachers turn marking data into actionable teaching intelligence — mastery signals, misconception detection, targeted interventions, and remedial delivery. It is not a platform meant for student use to bypass the learning process.

2. Misuse in Assessments

Educators must ensure that the application of AI tools does not compromise the validity and reliability of student assessments.

• Originality: When generating high-stakes exam questions, educators should modify and adapt AI outputs to prevent scenarios where questions might match existing publicly available AI-generated content.
• Security: Generating and storing assessment items must be done securely, preventing unauthorized student access to AI-generated answer keys or rubrics before tests are administered.

3. Teacher Oversight in Grading

While MyScienceHOD provides tools that may assist in the evaluation of student work (digital marking, rubric application), the final determination of a student's grade or performance evaluation must always result from the educator's professional judgment. Automated feedback should be reviewed to ensure it is constructive, accurate, and aligned with the specific performance of the student.

4. Modeling Integrity

By using MyScienceHOD responsibly, educators model digital citizenship and academic integrity for their students, demonstrating how AI can be utilized as an analytical and structural aid rather than a replacement for critical thought and subject mastery.
